Review of the Week: Sonic the Hedgehog #250

If you haven't already, check out my reviews for parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. So the crossover event of 2013 continues with Sonic the Hedgehog reaching an impressive 250 issues. In this issue our heroes, Sonic, Tails, Mega Man, Proto Man, Rush, and the de-roboticized Roboticized Masters are at the Wily Egg and find themselves greeted by a Roboticized Rouge the Bat and, as near as I can tell at least, every Robot Master from every Mega Man game except the first one. It's a two page spread and is too big for me to scan otherwise I'd show it to you, but let me tell you it alone is worth the price for a Mega Man fan. It's like the Mega Man equivalent of George Pereze's cover to Avengers Vol 3 #1.

Anyways our heroes fight the Robot Masters and Mega Man de-roboticizes Rouge and takes her power. Meanwhile on the Wily Egg, Dr. Light is lecturing our two villainous doctors about what douches they are. After a while Eggman, unbeknownst to Wily, decides to throw Dr. Light off the Wily Egg to his death. Meanwhile Sonic, Mega Man, Tails, and Rush decide to try and fly up to the Wily Egg while Sonic's friends keep the Robot Masters busy. As they head up Mega Man spots Dr. Light falling to his death. Will he save his dad? We'll find out next issue, same side scrolling time, same side scrolling channel.

Mega Man and Sonic continue to be two great tastes that taste great together. This issue had a lot of great character moments with the three doctors, and a lot of really cool fights between Sonic characters and the Robot Masters. This crossover started to drag a little in the middle but has really picked back up as it winds to a close. What else can I say? Read. This. Book.
