Review of the Week: Superior Spider-man #26

Most of the story of this issue focuses on the war between Hobgoblin and Green Goblin. The two fight for a while with their respective armies on both sides until Green Goblin purposes that it's foolish to fight this way, that the winner will have too many losses, so they purpose a one on one winner take all fight and Green Goblin manages to kill the Hobgoblin. But it turns out it's not the real Hobgoblin, but rather someone brainwashed to believe he is the Hobgoblin, and we cut to the real Hobgoblin Roderick Kingsley in Paris France, already working on brainwashing someone else to believe he is the Hobgoblin, deciding he's going to lay low for a bit yet again. Meanwhile the Avengers are taking Ock-Spidey to task for deleting the medical scans of him, which Ock-Spidey claims he did to protect him secret identity, and the Avengers tell him that since he is an Avenger, his business is their business, to which Ock-Spidey quits the team. Oh, and what's left of Peter in Ock-Spidey's head is gathering up his strength.

This continues to be a fun series, and I'm looking forward to how it wraps up with the recently announced return of Amazing Spider-man on the horizon. I was a little disappointed in how the Hobgoblin plot wrapped up. Kingsley sending others to be Hobgoblin in his place is getting to be a running gag at this point. I'm beginning to wonder if he himself has ever been on the damn glider more than like 3 or 4 times. All and all though a damn good read, but then I'm a sucker for a good old fashion Goblin on Goblin fight.
